Do you need $500 fast? Most of us, at one point or another, needed some fast money for various reasons.
I was lucky enough to have friends that would let me borrow a big amount of money for an unexpected expense in my younger days. Most people might not have been as fortunate.
Luckily, there are so many tasks you can do online to make $500 fast or even more. Most of these tasks are easy and don’t have a lot of requirements. Once you get rolling, you can continue to earn extra money on the side to save for rainy days.

How To Make 500 Dollars Fast In A Week!
1. Take Online Surveys
Sharing your opinions by taking online surveys is one of the easiest ways to make extra money online. Companies want to understand their consumers so that they can create better products and services for you.
For them to understand what products and services you want, they have to ask you in the form of surveys. In return, they pay you in gift cards and cash for your opinions.
You won’t get rich taking surveys, but it’s an easy way to make an extra $50 to $500 a month to help with bills. There are a lot of survey sites out there, but my personal favorites are:
2. Sell Unwanted Gadgets On Decluttr
Decluttr is an easy way to make money by selling all your unwanted gadgets such as phones, tablets, DVDs, CDs, Blue-rays, video games, and even LEGO®. Scan the barcode on the app or enter the code manually, and you will get an offer instantly.
Once you accept the offer, Decluttr will send you a free shipping label. You will receive your payment the day after your order arrives. Payment is via direct deposit, PayPal, or a check in the mail.
This is a great way to make some quick cash and declutter your place at the same time.
3. Sell Clothes on Poshmark
Poshmark is an online marketplace to sell slightly used and mostly well-known brands of clothes, shoes, accessories for men, women, and kids.
To get started, create an account, download the app, snap some pictures, add a description, and set a price.
It is really fun to sell on Poshmark. It’s a big community with virtual shopping parties called Posh Party where you can promote your products.
I only sold what I didn’t want from my closet, but there are many sellers earn a full-time income selling on Poshmark. They go to the local Ross, Marshall, TjMaxx stores to buy brand name products and resell them on Poshmark.
The key is to buy cheap brand name products. I saw a seller posted on Instagram (sorry, I can’t remember the name) a while back that she got all the Michael Kors sandals for less than $10 and sold them on Poshmark for $50.
4. Facebook Marketplace
Facebook Marketplace is a very popular way to sell to people in your area. I’ve sold a used microwave, washer/dryer, and kid toys in less than 5 minutes after posting. I had no idea there were so many buyers and I got a lot of messages almost instantly.
It’s a great place to sell big items that you don’t want to ship. I’ve seen postings for cars, couches, and even homemade food!
5. Sell on Etsy
If you’re crafty and creative, selling on Etsy is an easy way to make an extra $500 fast. It’s free to start a shop, but you have to pay $0.20 per listing and a 3.5% processing fee when the item sells. You can sell anything handmade including printables, candles, bath bombs, jewelry, knit and crocheted items, and many more.
It doesn’t take long to make $500 if you have a large inventory and some social media marketing. For someone starting out, it might take around a month. The key is to post regularly on your social media accounts, especially Pinterest, to bring in traffic to your Etsy store.
6. Hold A Garage Or Yard Sale

11. Car Wrap Advertising
You can make $500 a month in passive income by turning your car into a moving billboard by signing up for car wrap advertising.
This is a great side hustle because you don’t have to trade your time for money. There are also options to do a partial wrap where you place the sticker on your rearview window instead of the whole car.
When the contract is over, you can have your car back to its previous condition. So even if you want to give this a try, you could earn an extra $5,000 a year in passive income.
12. Rent a Room in Your House on Airbnb

14. Freelance on Fiverr
Fiverr is a digital marketplace place where you can offer your freelance services. Even though the site is marketed as $5 for tasks, you can earn a lot more if you choose your tasks carefully. Choose big projects with a higher payout.
