Most of the work-at-home opportunities are often paid once a month and getting paid infrequently may not help with your immediate financial needs.  I’ve put together a list of work-at-home jobs that pay weekly or even daily.

There are so many benefits when it comes to working at home.  You don’t have to worry about getting ready, commuting, or dealing with annoying co-workers.  Not to mention, the hours are also flexible.

I’ve also included a few that are not work-at-home opportunities, but they are flexible, pay weekly, and are easy to get started.   You can work as much or as little as you want.

1. Freelance on Fiverr

Fiverr is a digital marketplace place where you can offer your freelance services.  Some of the most common services offered on Fiverr include general transcription, proofreading, virtual assistant work, freelance writing, digital marketing, creating logos, graphic designs, and many more.

The site is known for $5 tasks, but you can earn as much as $1500 for a big project.  The bigger the project, the higher the payout.

Money is instantly credited to your Fiverr account once the project is completed and approved by the client.  You have the option of transferring it to your PayPal account, bank account, or Payoneer MasterCard.

 

2. Freelancer on Upwork

Upwork is another popular freelancing platform similar to Fiverr.  You offer your skills to businesses and bid on the jobs that interest you. The hours and schedules are mostly flexible.

You can offer work in freelance writing, social media management, photoshop, graphic design, and many more.  The fee for freelancers is 20% if the job is less than $500, and it decreases to 10% if it’s between $500 and $10,000 and down to 5% if your contract is over $10,000.

 

3. Personal Shopping with Shipt

Shipt is a membership-based grocery marketplace where they hire personal shoppers to deliver fresh food and household essentials. You pick up an order via their app, collect the items from the list, and then deliver them.

The hours are flexible and you can work as much or as little as you want.  You earn up to $22/hr and are paid weekly.  While tipping is not required, there is potential for you to earn some extra money if your clients are feeling generous.

 

4. Personal Shopping with Instacart

Instacart is another flexible personal shopping service.  Similar to Shipt, the hours are flexible and your job is to shop and deliver groceries to people who might not be able to do their own grocery shopping.

Payments are made daily or weekly via direct deposit.  However, there is a fee for cashing out daily. 

 

5. Deliver Food with DoorDash

DoorDash is a food delivery service that offers flexible working hours and pays on a weekly basis.

While owning a car isn’t a requirement in all cities, a valid driver’s license, insurance, and a clean driving record are. You can use almost any type of transportation to deliver.

There is a guaranteed amount for completing each delivery and you can earn up to $750 per week just from delivering food to customers.

 

6. Walk Dogs and Pet Sit with Rover

Pet sitting or dog walking can provide companionship as well as extra income.  You can earn up to $1,000 a month pet sitting or dog walking through Rover.

Rover is an app that connects dog owners with dog sitters/walkers.  Rover has a wide range of services you can offer as a dog sitter/walker.  You can offer dog walking, doggy daycare, dog boarding where you care for a dog overnight in your home, or drop-ins where you can check up on pets from time to time.

Set your own hours and the rates for your services.  Receive your payments in just 2 business days after the service is completed.

7. Ride-Sharing with Lyft / Uber

My cousin makes $80,000/year working for both Uber and Lyft.  He has both apps because certain areas have more Lyft users and vice versa. 

While most people work for Lyft / Uber as a way to make extra money on the side, I’ve met a lot of full-time Uber drivers.  You will also have an opportunity to meet new and interesting people while making money.

Refer friends to drive for Uber / Lyft to make additional extra money.  Payments are made weekly via your bank account.

 

8.  Review Music on Slicethepie

Slicethepie is a music reviewing company that pays you to listen and leave thorough feedback for unsigned artists.  You get to listen to new music, help out new artists, and get paid to do it.  Make sure to leave helpful and detailed reviews that can help out the artists or musicians.

A review can earn you 5 to 15 cents, depending on your star rating and the quality of the review.  While it is not a lot of money, it’s a great way to listen to some new music while getting some extra cash.

You can also refer friends and earn an extra 10% of all the money your friends earn.  Payments go out every Tuesday and Friday of the week via PayPal.

 

9. Short Tasks on Amazon MTurk

Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is an online marketplace where you can complete simple tasks online for extra money.  These tasks include data entry, transcription, evaluating images/videos, removing duplicate content, and everything in between.

The money you make depends on the tasks, with most tasks paying less than $10.  After your task is completed and approved, you can request a payout with as little as $1 in your account.  This person has made over $60,000 working on Amazon MTurk over the course of 4 years and has made a guide on how to make money as an MTurker.

Payments are sent via direct deposit to your bank or you can redeem for Amazon gift cards.

10. TranscribeMe

TranscribeMe is a work-from-home transcription company that accepts transcribers with or without experience to transcribe short audio files.  Most files are only a few seconds to a few minutes long.  The pay is $20 per audio hour, plus a $2 bonus if you produce quality work.

You can request a payout every Tuesday to your PayPal account once you reach the minimum $10 threshold.  The pay is on the lower end when compared to other transcription companies, but it is a great place to start if you don’t have any experience.

12. Quicktate – Transcription

Quicktate is another transcription company that also hires transcribers without any experience to transcribe voicemail messages, memos, letters, legal files, medical files, recording of phone calls, and other audio files. Most files are less than 5 minutes.

Quicktate runs a background check on new applicants ($15) and you must pass a skill test in order to start working.

Payments are made weekly via Paypal.

 

13. Scribie

Scribie is a home-based transcription company that pays $1 for every 6 minutes of audio transcribed.  The pay rate is on the lower end compared to other online transcription companies, but it is still a great way to get started for beginners.

Scribie pays daily via PayPal as soon as you reach the payout threshold.

 

14. Rev

Rev is another home-based transcription company that pays weekly on Mondays via PayPal.  The hours are flexible and you can make up to $50 per audio hour.

In order to work for Rev, you need to have strong English skills and pass their skill test prior.

 

15. Proofreading Pal

There is a high demand for online proofreading and you can earn $50,000+ per year working from home. Proofreading Pal is one of the sites that pays you weekly to proofread from home.

16. Verblio (formerly BlogMutt) – Freelance Writing

BlogMutt is a popular freelance writing company that hires both new and experienced writers.  The platform is only accessible to U.S. citizens, but you can live anywhere in the world.  The pay is ranged from $8 to $72 per post and when you produce quality work, you earn points that allow you to work on high-paying jobs.

Payments are made every Monday via PayPal.

17. Textbroker – Freelance Writing

Textbroker is another freelance writing company that hires both experienced and new writers to create content for their clients.  Based on your content quality, their editors rate your articles between 2 and 5 stars.  The higher the star rating, the more you can earn (up to 5 cents per word).

The work is posted in a large pool so once accepted, you are free to pick and choose the projects you want to work on at your writing level.

Payments are made weekly via Paypal. However, you must have at least $20 in your writer account to qualify for a cash-out.

 

18. HireWriters – Freelance Writing

HireWriters is another great writing company that pays writers every Friday via PayPal. They accept writers at all skill levels. They also have a $10 threshold that you must meet before making a withdrawal.

 

19. UserTesting

Usertesting is a company that pays you to test websites and apps.  You can get paid up to $60 per test, but most tests are $10 and take 10-20 minutes to do.

Testing a website or an app is a lot easier than it sounds.  As a tester, you will have to perform certain tasks and share your experiences via a microphone as you perform them.  It can be as simple as choosing between two logos.  The purpose is to enhance the usability and customer experience.

20. UserFeel – Test Website

Similar to UserTesting, UserFeel is another site that pays you to test websites.  You can earn up to $10 per test.  While it is not much, it is a great way to make some extra spending money on the side.

UserFeel pays via Paypal or Amazon gift cards, and you can expect payment within seven days after your test is completed and approved.

 

21. Chegg

Chegg is a tutoring company that hires teachers to tutor students from middle school all the way to college-level over a wide variety of subjects.  Starting at $20 per hour, top tutors can earn $1,000+ per month. 

Chegg helps students with homework help, test preparation, scholarship application, and many more.  The hours are flexible and you can work anywhere in the world.

 

22. Cambly

How cool is it to get paid to chat with people from all around the world?  Cambly will pay you to chat with people from all around the world.  In one hour, you could go from chatting with someone in Japan to someone in France.  It’s a great way to learn about their cultures and languages, and make new friends while you’re at it.  It would come in handy if you decide to travel one day.

You are paid $0.17 USD per minute ($10.20/hour), and payments go out every Monday via PayPal.  Set your own hours and log in whenever you have some free time.

 

23. NiceTalk – Tutor ESL Online

NiceTalk provides online English learning experience via a one-on-one video chat.  Unlike other websites, NiceTalk does not require much to get started.  While teaching certificates and experience are always preferred, they are definitely not required.

The downside is that it also pays on the lower end.  You get paid by the minute and can earn $10 per hour.  They pay weekly via Paypal, but you have to get your balance above $20 to meet the payout threshold.

 

24. Magic Ears – Tutor English Online

Magic Ears provides online English learning experiences to 4 to 12-year-old children in China.  Each class is scheduled for 25 minutes with 5 minutes for student evaluation. You are paid $18 – $26 USD per hour.

You need to be a native English speaker from the U.S. or Canada and hold a bachelor’s degree or higher.  Teaching experience is not required, but preferred.  You are provided with all the teaching materials so there is no need to worry about preparing your own lessons.

 

25. Humanatic

Humanatic pays people to listen/review recorded phone calls and categorize them or give answers according to the instructions given.  The pay is on the lower end, but the work is also very easy.

The minimum payout threshold is $10 and once you have at least $10 in your account, payment will be sent to your PayPal account on Monday.
