With technology advancements, businesses are now seeking for virtual assistants to handle tasks such as social media management, email management, data entry, content production, bookkeeping, etc.

On average, you can earn between $35-$50 per hour, with some going as high as $100 per hour.

1. Fiverr

Fiverr is probably my favorite place when it comes to VA jobs.  But it might take some time to build up your business.

All you have to do is create a profile, list your services, and set your own rates.  The minimum is $5 per gig.  I know it doesn’t sound like much, but most VAs have add-on services and charge more for shorter turn-around-time, revisions, etc.

No bidding is required.  If someone likes what you have to offer, they just put in the order and you can begin working.

2. Time Etc

Time Etc is looking for virtual assistants based in the U.S. with 5 years of experience.  You can set your own schedule, but must be available during the working day.

The main tasks you will need to perform are basic admin work, make travel arrangements, schedule appointments, and form filling.

 

3. Worldwide 101

Worldwide 101 is looking for virtual assistants from the U.S. with a minimum of 7 years of experience in administration, executive assistance, or marketing.

Your main tasks will include basic admin work such as email management, planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, and travel.

The work is 100% remote with flexible hours, paid vacation, and holidays.  You will start out part-time with the opportunity to become full-time.  The starting pay is $20 an hour.

 

4. Fancy Hands

Fancy Hands is looking for virtual assistants with great communication skills to make phone calls, schedule appointments, find hotels, data entry, etc.

You will need to have a computer with a reliable internet connection, an audio headset with a microphone or iPhone earbuds.

You will get paid per task depending on how quickly the task is finished.  Tasks are worth anywhere from $3 to $7 per task.  You can get promoted to a managerial position if you produce good work.

Payments go out every other week on Tuesday via Dwolla.

 

5. Lifebushido

Lifebushido hires part-time virtual assistants from all over the world.  You need to be able to work at least 10 hours a week.

To apply, you need to submit your resume, fill out the application, and submit a 1-minute voice test.

The company only hires once a month by the 5th of the month.  They pay once a month on the 5th

 

6. Virtual Gal Friday

Virtual Gal Friday is looking to hire virtual assistants from the U.S. with administrative skills, previous customer service experience, email management, etc.  You must be able to answer live calls during the day to apply.

 

7. Assistant Match

Assistant Match offers part-time assignments to virtual assistants.  In order to qualify, you must have secure high-speed internet, MS Office, available to work during regular business hours, and pass a criminal background check.

 

8. Vicky Virtual

Vicky Virtual is looking to hire virtual assistants from the U.S. to handle phone calls for multiple businesses throughout the day.  You will assist callers with questions and booking appointments.  They pay $10 an hour.

 

9. Virtual Assist USA

Virtual Assist USA is looking to hire a 15-30-hour week employee (not independent contractor position).

In order to qualify, you must have 5 years of executive assistant experience, excellent communication skills, US citizen, and pass the federal background check.

The company has great perks.  They claim to have the highest hourly rate in the industry.  Flexible start and end times.  Unlimited paid time off after 6 months of working.

 

10.  Paragon Planners

Paragon Planners is looking for virtual assistants who value long-term relationships.  You can work up to 30 hours per week.  They have open positions for scheduling setting, event planning, administrative support, and marketing.

 

11. Contemporary Virtual Assistance

Contemporary Virtual Assistance is a fast-growing virtual assistance company, looking for VAs who are interested in providing support to entrepreneurs and small business owners.

This position is available to U.S.-based residents only.  You must be available at least 4 hours during business days Monday through Friday (9am to 5pm EST).

They will provide extensive training and mentoring.  Pay begins at $10/hour, but there are advancement opportunities as quickly as 90 days after hire.

 

12. 99 Dollar Social

99 Dollar Social is looking for full-time independent contract Social Media Content Specialists to ghost-write social media posts for multiple companies.

You are required to do a 6-7 hour of self-paced online training before you are assigned to an account. However, training is unpaid.

Once you are done with training, you will be paid a flat rate per account.  Pay gets better as you get busier.

 

13. Smith.AI

Smith.AI is looking for virtual assistants to answer calls and webchats, take messages, book appointments, transferring calls, etc.

The entry-level rate is $10 per hour and is paid weekly.  Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance in addition to retirement plans, paid training, and cash bonuses.

You must be available a minimum of 4 hours a day, 5 days a week between 8am to 9pm EST.  Shifts are broken into 2 to 5-hour blocks and are scheduled based on business needs as well as your availability.

 

14. FlexJobs

FlexJobs is the only platform that screens all jobs before posting.  They have a large database of legitimate remote jobs available.  It’s an awesome place to find full-time, part-time, and freelance work from home.

The only downside is that you have to register and pay $14.95 per month or $49.95 per year.  You have to pay to apply, but you don’t have to pay to check out the job descriptions.

 

15. Upwork

Upwork is one of the best freelance marketplaces for you to find more clients and to grow your freelance business.  Upwork connects you with potential clients, but you have to bid for the project.  The downside is that you don’t always get the projects, especially when you’re new.

  • With the second wave of Covid-19 affecting the whole world again, this article is very much needed. Thank you for adding other websites as well. I like to add that the virtual world is amazing but you need to be patient. If you think that the recent pandemic will impact your job somehow, then you must start applying on these websites today. It is not necessary to do a full-time job. You can also give only an hour a day to maintain your profile. Those who have some experience to show on their portfolio have higher chances of getting selected.

    • I totally agree! Online side hustle is a great way to make extra money and can turn it into a full-time income, but it does take time to build up your portfolio.
