1. General Proofreading

Salary: $30,000 – $50,000 per year

Are you good at spotting grammatical or spelling errors? Then this might be for you. 

There is still a high demand for freelance proofreaders and editors.

3. Legal Transcription

Salary: Average $60,000 per year

I have to admit that I didn’t even know what Internet scoping was.  It really is simple: A scopist edits transcripts written by court reporters on stenotype machines into readable, easily understood English.

5. Virtual Assistant

Know your way around the computer and good with social media? Then being a virtual assistant might fit the bill. 

Companies or even bloggers hire virtual assistants to handle their emails, social media promotion, create Pinterest pins, manage Facebook groups, etc.  Currently, there is a high demand for virtual assistants.

You can work from anywhere in the world and the hours are flexible.  You can work for multiple clients to increase your income and turn it into a business.

Are you a good writer?  Not sure if someone would pay for you to write?

Are you organized and good with numbers?  Online bookkeeping jobs are high in demand and you can earn up to $60/hr.

Salary: Varies ($1,000 – millions)

And of course, my favorite.

The sky is the limit when it comes to blogging.  You can blog just about anything and make money if you don’t give up. There are bloggers that have been around for a few years that make over a million dollars each year such as making sense of cents. 

Hard to believe that you can make that kind of money blogging right?  You can earn a full-time income blogging but it is not a get rich quick scheme.  It requires time, work, and dedication. 

You can blog about food, fashion, finance, travel, etc.  You can even narrow it down and blog about a sub-category such as vegan recipes or keto recipes. 

Most blogs make money from ads and affiliate marketing.  There are also other ways to make money blogging such as sponsored posts or selling your own e-books. 

You can have a blog up and running in less than 30 minutes with my step-by-step instructions and it costs less than a cup of coffee per month. 

Through blogging, I have learned so many unique ways to make extra money on the side and I love sharing them with my readers.

9. Teach English Online

Salary: Up to $31/hr

If you’re a native English speaker, this side hustle might be for you.  While most places do not require prior teaching or tutoring experience, some do require a Bachelor’s degree. 

Teaching lessons will be given to you, so you don’t have to worry about preparing lessons.  All you have to do is turn on the computer and start chatting with kids overseas.  This might be a good idea if you’re planning to move overseas to live and teach English in the future.

Most classes are 30 minutes long and you get to choose your own schedule.

A voice-over artist or actor is someone who uses their voice to narrate, promote, explain, or tell stories without being physically seen.
